PERIDOT

 Peridot is a gemstone that belongs to the olivine mineral family. It is the gem-quality variety of the mineral olivine. The  green colour of peridot is caused by the presence of iron, and its intensity can range from yellowish-green to vibrant lime green.
Peridot is one of the gemstones whose exact origin may often be traced due to its inclusions. Usually, disc inclusions are found in Peridot and Ludwigite with hair or needle-shaped inclusions, which are misidentified as Rutile, and it is a sure evidence of Pakistani origin. while both peridot and peridot with ludwigite or needle-like inclusions appear different and vibrant green which are rare in nature.
It is the gem-quality version of the mineral olivine. It is transparent and often faceted to enhance the brilliance and green colour, ranging from yellowish-green to olive green. It is found globally, notable deposits include Egypt, Myanmar, Pakistan, Vietnam, and the U.S. (Arizona).
